
I didn’t want to unnecessarily splurge too much cash into upgrading my workspace. Would simple household items suffice? I took out a sticky note and wrote to myself: “Sit tall”. I also made another note to remind myself to stand up and move about every 30 minutes or so. One last note to remind myself to take sips of water every 10 minutes. That way, I’ll be forced to get up and walk to the toilet more often! Now I wouldn’t be stuck at my desk all day, thanks to Nature’s call!
To prevent myself from leaning forward all the time, I decided to shift my sewing machine to the edge of the desk closer to where my chair was . I also made sure I had ample space to rest my arms by my side.
Apparently, making sure that my feet are resting flat on the floor can improve blood circulation. I thus cleared the space under my desk to give myself ample leg room. With a couple of inch-thick, out-of-season fashion designing catalogues, I had the perfect leg rest .
I sat in my chair and it felt just right! :)
