From what I’ve learned, doing warm up before any workout or exercise is really important, as it prepares the body physically. Not only will it increase the blood flow to the working muscles, it will also improve the range of motion of the joints, which will in turn facilitate better movement during the run. Stretches would also help prepare your joints and muscles before using them!
I warmed up with 10 jumping jacks and 10 sets of forward and reverse lunges. I added on brisk walking for 15 minutes to get my heart rate up. Wiping the sweat away from the back of my hand, I told myself to take it slow and easy. Now, I’m finally ready to start the day!
